Yes, I’m guilty of owning quite some very funky, shiny, bling-bling papers. I’m also quilty of never using them. Ever. Because I don’t know how I could make them work. Why did I buy them then, you say? I really don’t know.
BUT…! Then the new Lawn Fawnatics challenge came to the rescue! It’s called ‘Bling it out’ and it challenges you to make a shiny/glittery/blingy card. So I dug into my funky paper stash and found a purple one which I thought was perfect for a halloween card (also because I recently got my first coordinating die cuts including Costume Party)
It’s a bit of a smaller card compared to the usually size I make them, but it worked out great. I’m also very impressed how good the funky blingy paper works for the background! <3
I also used some sequins in the background for extra bling and added some shiny pearl paint (which wouldn’t stay drop shaped, but they’re still some kind of nice I think)
This challenge sure inspired me to look into the possibilities with my funky stash of paper!
