Free mountain cutting file

Hi guys! Recently I got the Mama Elephant ‘Me and My Dragon’ stamp set and the ‘Dragon Wishes’ stamp set.

The ‘Dragon Wishes’ one is really complementary to the ‘Me and My Dragon’ because it contains all kind of dragon themed sentiments and features smaller dragons to fill up your scene. Although ofcourse, you could use either sets by themselves.

I was coloring one of the dragons from ‘Me and My Dragon’ the other evening and really took my time for it. Because, one of the reasons I wanted this stamp set (besides loving the images of course) is that the images are slightly on the bigger side if you compare them to the Lawn Fawn images I’m usually using.

The story I placed on my Instagram when I was coloring.

Anyway, I wanted to keep the rest of the card very whimsical but simple so my dragon image was really featured on the card. Because, if I say so myself, I’ve got a beautiful colored dragon on hand that deserves being the spotlight of the card.

I messaged my husband who was in another room (yes, we do that. It’s easier that way) to pick out some Distress Oxides for me so I could make a background for my card. This is what he picked;

I knew from the beginning I wanted to have mountains on the bottom. Because I wanted somewhat realistic looking mountains and I don’t have a die for that (yet?) I decided to cut some with my Silhouette Curio.

Here is my finished card;

Update August 2020:
Steph from Whirled of Papercraft used the file to create a card as well!

I decided to share the mountain cut file with you for free!
I made it suitable for slimline cards but of course you can cut it to size for normal sized cards. Since it’s a .svg file, you can adapt it to your needs.

If you want to share it too, please share the link to this blog post and don’t share the file itself.

It’s definitely not mandatory to do so, but if you like my content you can consider to donate (whatever you can miss!) so I can keep improving my content. Thank you.

It includes two mountains that you can layer together.
For example, on my card, the back piece is cut out of black cardstock and the front layer is cut out of white paper that I ink blended with ‘black sooth’ Distress Oxide.

You could also use the negative space to ink blend mountains on your background!

Enjoy the mountains and be sure to share the card you made with it with me on Instagram (@peterstreasury).

Cape Cod Resilience Fund

Hi everybody! Recently I designed some cards with the exclusive Cape Cod stamp set that Jenn Shurkus sells. She lives on Cape Cod and is raising money for the Cape Cod Resilience Fund.

This fund will help small businesses on Cape Cod who are experiencing financial difficulties due to Covid-19. This fund will be around for the long run and continue to help small businesses out in the future.

She sells the exclusive stamp set on her site and from June 15th – July 1st, she will donate $10 to the CCRF for every set she sells.

Me and a lot of other amazing people helped her by designing some cards to show other people what a great stamp set it is!

You can find more information on Jenn’s site.

Here are the four different cards I designed. Which one is your favorite?
