Hi everybody! Welcome to the start of my Halloween week!
I love making Halloween cards so much, that I decided to share my joy with you and make a Halloween week out of it!
This means that I’ve designed 7 cards and there will be a video for 5 of them!
We start of with a bang… The first video is a card that I designed as a Lawn Fawnatics Guest Designer for the new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! I’m so happy that I was asked and I’m thrilled to share my first card with you! Keep your eyes out for a second card…
I want to share a bit of backstory for the card I created for the challenge. It’s based on a Reveal Wheel card I made two years ago when I visited my very good friend Rosana. We had a crafty afternoon together. Here is what the card looked like:
When I was thinking of what my card design for the challenge would be, I figured I wanted to redo this one. My cardmaking skills have gone up so it would be fun to see the improvement, but the card also gives me a warm feeling thinking of that crafty afternoon.
Also Rosana is the one that got me hooked on Lawn Fawn (and with that, cardmaking) so this card was perfect as a base for my new design.
Here is the card I made for the challenge!
The challenge involves the following mood board:
I kept the same base lay-out for my card but I adjusted the whole theme to fit the moodboard.
I took inspiration from the grey clouds and with the use of the Cloudy Stencil and Distress Oxide ‘Weathered Wood’ I made my own version of that.
From there on I decided to keep the whole scene grey and use the colors from the leaves in the mood board to color all my images. I used the darker colors for the pumpkins and the brighter colors for the accessories of the ghosts.
For a full description on how I made this card and what I used, check out my video. There is also a list of supplies I used below.
