Card making – Lawn Fawn Ship in a bottle

Hello everyone!

I’m here to tell you more about my newest video. I made a card in one of my favorite Lawn Fawn themes; ocean!
I was flipping through my stash and my eye fell on the jar from the ‘Bugs and Kisses’ stamp set. I thought it would be cool if the octopus from ‘Ocean Shell-fie’ would hold it in its arms.

With another flip through my stash it was clear; the little ship from ‘Ahoy, Matey’ was the perfect thing to add to the jar!

It’s super easy to stamp the ship in the jar with some simple masking. In the video I show you exactly how I did it. The coloring of the jar and especially the highlights do a lot for the image too. Of course I show that in the video as well.

You might know I love using foam tape on my cards to pop things up and add dimension, but I kept this card really flat. It still has quite some dimension and I show you how I achieved at!

On Instagram I posted a coloring video for the big octopus in purple. You can watch it here or visit my Instagram to watch it.

Here is also the color guide I made for it. If you want to see more different color guides you should visit and follow my Pinterest board.

Below is an overview of the other supplies I used. I’m not listing things like scissors and such since I think that’s personal preference, but of course if you have any questions feel free to ask.

A lot of things are available on Butterfly Reflections Ink so be sure to check that out! If you check out my post on the BRI blog you can find direct links to the supplies in the shop.

Card making – Lawn Fawn Quatro Christmas critters

It’s that time of the month again that it is time for Get Cracking on Christmas. It’s a initiative from Jenn Shurkus to make a monthly Christmas card to enjoy you holiday stamps more and to be a little more prepared for Christmas.

For this month I’m making four cards actually. I kept them really simple but fun to make so that I will still enjoy it.
I used the ‘Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait’ die from Lawn Fawn in such a way that you can exchange die cut pieces to make four unique cards with the same design. See, really quick and easy!

With the previous video blog post I also introduced my color guides. With these color guides you will see a quick overview of which Copic colors I used to color in the images on the guide.
I will collect these guides on a special Pinterest board for them and post them on my blog when they happen to fit within the theme of the video.

Here are the color guides I made for this video!

Because it’s a ‘special edition’ of Get Cracking On Christmas, because it’s also Christmas in July, I’m giving away the Winter Unicorn stamp set from Lawn Fawn. It was the second Lawn Fawn set I owned so it has a special place in my heart.

If you want to participate in the giveaway, then watch my video to see how you can!

Below is an overview of the other supplies I used. I’m not listing things like scissors and such since I think that’s personal preference, but of course if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Card making – Lawn Fawn Tropical toucan with Distress Oxides

Hi all! With the new Lawn Fawn release I also ordered some older tropical sets that would work great with the new tropical stuff. On this card I used all older stuff, except for the toucans.
I also did a lot of ink blending with Distress Oxides, which results in this fun and colorful card!

In the video I show you how I did all the ink blending and die cutting. I also show you how I did some minor masking on the island to eliminate another layer of paper added to the card.

This time I didn’t include the coloring of my images, but if you want some coloring inspiration for the toucans you can check out my video over on Instagram (or check it out below).

Also, here is a color guide for the toucans.

Below is an overview of the other supplies I used. I’m not listing things like scissors and such since I think that’s personal preference, but of course if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Card making – Lawn Fawn Blanket fort bears Build-A-Campsite

Hi everyone! I don’t know about you, but I was excited about the new Lawn Fawn release! The jungle and camping themed supplies are amazingly fun.
I especially fell in love with the ‘Build-A-Campsite’ dies, I love that little tent SO much.

I have tons of ideas for scenes with the tent and one that came out extremely cute (if I may say so myself) is this card where the little bears built a blanket fort!

I love all the ‘Build-A-…’ sets from Lawn Fawn to be honest, but they are usually quite a bit of work. With the ‘Build-A-Campsite’ dies you can make a tent within minutes, really! Only if you want to build an actual campsite, it will cost you a little more time.

So, with stamping and coloring some images and die cutting three pieces out of your favorite paper, you have almost made this card.
If you want to see every step of the process to make this card, check out my video.

Below is an overview of the other supplies I used. I’m not listing things like scissors and such since I think that’s personal preference, but of course if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Card making – Lawn Fawn Party Animal – Surprise party!

Hi all! I used an old time favorite Lawn Fawn stamp set in my new video, which is the ‘Party Animal’ set. I used it together with the ‘Foursquare Backdrop’ to make a wonderful frame card, where I imagined that the critters organized a surprise party!

I kept the card really flat to make it easy to mail and quick to assemble. Because I play with putting the images partly behind and partly in front of the frame, it still has quite some depth!

I picked a color scheme out of the background paper, only the critters are normal critter colors. This way, the critters pop out of the card but they tie into the card with the accessoires being colored in the color scheme of the background.

Below is an overview of the other supplies I used. I’m not listing things like scissors and such since I think that’s personal preference, but of course if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Card making – Tiny dinosaur frame

Hello everyone! I’ve got another project to share and this time it’s a duo project.

I recently got myself the ‘Little Dino Agenda’ and ‘Me and My Dinosaur’ sets from Mama Elephant and together with some budget dies from Avec Creative I found at the budget store I had to make something!

It’s a duo project because I figured I could easily use my new tag dies when I already had all the supplies out for making the card!

If you want to know how I made them, you can check out my video. I explain every step and work on both the card and tag simultaneously, exactly how you can do it yourself.

Card making – Lawn Fawn Koalafied for a hug!

Hi everyone! I’m back again with another video. I used all Lawn Fawn products for this card. With the newest release, there released a companion for the older koala set ‘I Love You(calyptus)’. It’s the Flip-Flop version with a mirrored image of the koala, so fun!

The background is made with the new Plaid stencil. I love you can also make a striped background like this with that stencil. Very versatile!

The card is quite simple, but it has a lot of fun elements, detail and depth! You can see in my video how I achieved all of that.

Below is an overview of the other supplies I used. I’m not listing things like scissors and such since I think that’s personal preference, but of course if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Card making – Lawn Fawn Swantastic lake frame

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a video for a card made with all Lawn Fawn products. I was inspired by the ducks, geese and swans around my appartement building. For years in a row, there have been baby’s from all of them, but especially since the swans recently made their nest I felt inspired to make a card with them in the spotlight.

With this card I also have exciting news to tell. I’m in the new design team from Butterfly Reflections Ink! I’m so happy I got this opportunity.
This is my first card as a BRI design team member! You can read more about that on the BRI blog.

I had so much fun creating this scene. I love frame cards and how they are their own little scenes but also form one bigger picture.
In my video, I tell you more about the small details I try to incorporate in my cards to give them that little bit extra.

Below is an overview of the other supplies I used. I’m not listing things like scissors and such since I think that’s personal preference, but of course if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Card making – Lawn Fawn Swish ‘n Pop Beary Happy Mother’s Day

Hi folks! I’m back with another video! I made a card for Mother’s Day, with a fun interactive surprise. Again, I used the ‘Swish ‘n Pop’ from Lawn Fawn for this. I love how easy it is to add it to your card.

The little bears are making breakfast for their mom. They are all doing something, although you could say some are a little more… playful then others. 😉
No bears where harmed making this card.

I used patterned paper to make an easy background. This makes this card a breeze to make!

Card making – Lawn Fawn Swish ‘n Pop Floating in space

Hi everyone! I can’t stop making cards with the ‘Swish ‘n Pop’ from Lawn Fawn and interactive cards in general to be honest.

That’s why I made another ‘Swish ‘n Pop’ card, but this time I made a design that also would work really well if you don’t add the interactive part of the card.

In my video I show you how to made a nice and bright galaxy background with Distress Oxides.
As you can see I used quite a lot of elements to build the scene for this card and colored them all in an unusual way to really make it look like another planet.

Below is an overview of the other supplies I used. I’m not listing things like scissors and such since I think that’s personal preference, but of course if you have any questions feel free to ask.
